Gearing up for a girls weekend- The power of 3

I am so looking forward to this weekend to catch up with my friends Melia and Samantha. It was Melia’s birthday a couple of weeks ago but this weekend was first one we could all get together to celebrate.

I met these 2 girls back in August 2017 through Camp Mars in Malibu. It was a mini festival of sorts put on by the band 30 Seconds To Mars. Quite a few fans of the band, the Echelon, show up for this Camp every year. Within our group of 7 that connected via Facebook looking at sharing a ride, we were the 3 Aussies and we hit it off immediately.

We 3 try and catch up when we can. I live in the State of New South Wales and the other 2 in Victoria. The last we caught up was over NYE at Samantha’s home as we take turns celebrating at each other’s homes.

I have a nice little road trip organised to get to Melia’s home which will take about 9 hours with stops along the way. I head to hers on Friday and will stay at her home for a couple of nights and head home Sunday, catching up with other friends along the way for lunch since I pass through their hometown on way back to mine.

An absolute must place to stop at is at Dog on the Tuckerbox. It would be un-Australian not to. Half the fun at stopping here is there are heaps of dog owners with their pups there, posing with this tiny little statue. That’s all it is, a statue and some heritage items from back in the day. There are also places to eat but they are not the tourist hot spot! I’ll post some pics on my TTW Instagram page and other lil spots along the way.

This weekend will be heaps of fun. We have a heap of activities planned but even if we sat on the lounge and talked for the 3 days it would be just as much fun. We would probably get into less trouble if we did that! The girls are the kind of friends where conversations pick up like we just saw each other the day before. We chat on messenger almost everyday but it is better in person sharing a bottle of wine, or 2.

One of the great things about hanging with these 2 is we all inspire each other to be and do better within ourselves and our respective businesses and hobbies. For me I always have a rush of writing material for this site. If ever I have a bit of writers block or can’t finish off one of the many drafts I have racked and stacked, they always help without even knowing it. Everyone deserves to have friends like these 2. The Power of 3.

I am looking forward to catching up with my lil tribe to celebrate Melia’s birthday.

  1. I can’t wait to see you and Melia! You’re right, we always pick up exactly where we left off as if no time has passed. Our friendship is so special and one I will cherish forever. The moment we met was one of those fateful events that just felt right, like we were being pulled together for a reason. I love how much we all inspire and encourage each other.
It’s great that you are visiting people and cool places during the drive too! Can’t wait to hear all about it!
